True Leadership

True test of leadership is sacrifice. Aspiring leaders would have, in their journeys, already given without asking in return. This hallmark of a true leader is evident. By their works they are known. Charity they say begins from the home. Any leader who has not, ab initio, sacrificially impacted on their constituency is not worth that name. Selfless service no longer holds in present day societies. Falsehood and calumny thrives as does vagrant acquisition of wealth post appointments.

Reviewing our values and empowering our communities to discern and distinguish  charlatans from stalwarts is our goal. When true service is accorded its rightful place and duly rewarded, diligence becomes a virtue.  Hope and belief in a system may then be restored. Without faith in a system, no one trusts or believes in statutes and hence primitive instincts are unleashed to the degree callous acts become the order. Our nation is currently embroiled in so much calumny that life no longer holds a meaning and as WB Yeats put it,  "Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world..."
