Choosing rightly

The fact is when leaders start believing their own deception as gospel truth, despite the harsh realities of it's citizens, that nation is at its brink. However its no news that we can only give what we have. A generous spirit would naturally give generously and a mean heart would give of their meanness.

Don't expect from persons who have never given freely, substance that would transform lives. Indeed the hallmark of a selfless leader is their compassion and heart for the poor and vulnerable. Few there are who would give their resources for the good of their kindred.

Now the same holds for the citizens. Deception breeds deception and uprightness would also breed true. An apple does not fall far from its tree.  So by every means seek to elect your leaders but be clear by what premise you choose.

In my opinion I would vote for that person who:

  • Has been visible in the local community or district and given their time or resources for the needy
  • Who gave selflessly and did not ask anything in return
  • Has evidently demonstrated good leadership by the high standards they set for themselves and their immediate family
  • They have not enriched themselves from the proceeds of previous offices - evidenced by their inexplicable wealth
  • They seek after the well being of others based on our shared commonality - as pilgrims in this world!
  • They are fairly well informed
  • They may not necessarily be in any of the major parties - most of which, sadly have all being symbols of persons with inordinate ambitions.

At Firstbaze, we would encourage community groups and individuals to propose persons of such qualities and in collaboration with our partners we aim to advocate for these communities and potential candidates in any way possible to advance their prospects.
