Participation
Participating in value driven events and activities that nurture socio-cultural shift in ethos and beliefs. With opportunities to experience alternative realities, and affirm the other as indeed a reflection of oneself in terms of needs and aspirations, the possibility of a conscious re-awakening to the truth of our interdependence may be a reality. The absence of opportunities stifles talents. Firstbaze is embarking on a series of media events aimed at rewarding and promoting excellence through meaningful experiences.
Information
Disseminating the right information is critical to decision making by any society. The dearth of data and reliance on conjectures makes it impossible to understand the enormity of the challenge. Basic needs are not met and society has been stagnated for decades, yet the wealth of the nation is frittered away by a few self-appointed and visionless 'godfathers' with no idea what it takes to build a nation. Developing a platform for collating, storing and disseminating data to private as well as public bodies should in itself enable closer monitoring of the allocation and deployment of resources to meet needs of communities. Where leaders are unable to name the problems in real terms, it is not surprising they are misguided in prioritization of the needs for those who might indeed make the effort.
Stimulating interest in local issues and opening up real time debates on the facts based on 'Open data' should in itself provide the impetus to make leaders accountable for their action or inaction. Firstbaze offers a platform for independent research into socio-economic issues that affect our societies.
Our IMPaCT - 'Information Management, Publications and Communication Training' programme aims at establishing systems and processes for communities, in a bottom-up approach crystallize pressing issues and identifying available resources to meet these needs.

Education
The ever widening gap between various cadres in society means the ordinary young person's access to well resourced schools or educational opportunities is fast becoming inconceivable. Yet these are the same group that would determine what this entity or nation state would be in a not too distant future. Firstbaze seeks to provide opportunities for the potentially talented pupils or young persons to fast-track their learning through short-term courses and training programmes. Our TRaC- 'Training Resources and Competencies' programmes focuses on skills acquisition and competencies that improves employment.
By partnering with professionals across disciplines, we are able to organise short courses and training in a number of areas such as media publishing, web content management, small business development and data systems and information resource management among others.
More importantly, our online career guidance and counselling programme provides a platform for young persons to access the right information at the right time and avoid making ill-guided decisions with long term consequences.
