The image of Africa portrayed to the world is one of a poor and desperate continent in need of aid. But the truth is a sharp contrast as reported by the Guardian in an article published in 2017 which stated "The flow of money from rich countries to poor countries pales in comparison to the flow that runs in the other direction".
